I tutor IB History at HL and SL, with most of my students needing help with essay structure, source analysis and Paper 2 comparisons. I have taught the Cold War, authoritarian states and 20th-century wars for several years, and I also support Internal Assessments from question planning through to final edits. My lessons are fairly direct: we read, argue, write, then improve the answer.

Hi, I’m an IB History tutor who likes making the course feel less like a stack of dates and more like a set of arguments. I usually work with students who are stuck on Paper 1 or unsure how to turn knowledge into a clear essay. I’ve helped pupils with topics such as Mao, Stalin, the Spanish Civil War and the Cold War, plus IA drafts where the research question needs tightening.

I have been teaching IB History for 11 years, including HL classes focused on Europe and the wider world. I work closely on essay planning, historiography, source evaluation and the difference between a descriptive answer and an analytical one. I am especially used to supporting students who know the content but lose marks because their argument is not precise enough.

My tutoring is centred on IB History only, mainly Paper 2 and the Internal Assessment. I tend to spend a lot of time on introductions, topic sentences and using evidence without overloading the essay. Students often come to me when they have good notes but do not know what examiners actually want. I keep lessons practical, with timed plans and rewritten paragraphs.

I’m a History graduate and IB tutor with a particular interest in dictatorships, war, and decolonisation. I work with HL and SL students on essay technique, Paper 1 source questions and IA investigations. I do not try to cover everything in one lesson; I prefer taking one problem, such as weak evaluation or vague comparison, and fixing it properly before moving on.

I specialise in IB History and usually work with students in the final stretch before mocks or exams. My lessons are calm but quite focused: we look at markschemes, practise short plans, then build full responses from there. I’m particularly comfortable with Paper 1 source work and Paper 2 essays on 20th-century leaders, wars and changing international relations.
